I'll be straight and to the point- Where's the best place to buy? For bootleg? For real? Any GMarket Sellers to Recommend?

I'm trying to find Lauder for Men and Emporio Armani "He" (The one in the black cylinder) but am having trouble finding it and I don't trust GMarket if I end up having to pay out the butt. I also don't trust K-Customs with a package sent over from back home.

Any thoughts would be great. I couldn't find them in Dongdaemun either.

P.S. If you hate me and have a buddy who sells bootleg cologne- Free sucker right here.

Other than that feel fre to post a random fragrance related post.

No, no hate, man. I love fragrance, and have been observing. In general, I went nuts when I was in Italy last summer, because I realized how much you cannot get here in Korea.

There are lots of things you can find here in Korea at Shensage, and the lot, but not if you are looking for specifics. Crying or Very sad

But, I remember being pleasantly surprised at a famous pharmacy/toiletry place across from Hyundai Mall. They had Burt's Bees lip balm, and other great stuff, including some hard to find fragrance brands. Try them.

Try Lotte. They have the Emporio Armani shops and probably Lauder counters as well.

I'm depressed I'm on the last legs of my Jean Paul Gautier, my Hanae Mori, and my Abercrombie Fierce. I am not sure whereto go/what to get next. This is a conundrum indeed.

Thanks for the heads up! Next time I'm in Seoul I'll check out the places, maybe around beer time?

In the meantime I guess I'm stuck with tester bottles I find on G-Market. Maybe find something new and limit the money if it turns out to be bootleg/has been sitting in a 100 degree warehouse for 4 years.

Yes, for sure. Definitely count on beer time, after I return from wherever I'm going this vacation season - haven't decided yet.

I can even show where that place is across from Hyundai Mall. But, you can also order from online. I haven't tried it, but there must be reputable places. Why don't you do a search.

Why not wear stinky cologne like Koreans wear? You'll probably get compliments on your smell. Although, your non-Korean friends will tease you mercilessly.

Try TODACOSA. They are located all over Seoul. There is one in Myeongdong.

Bootleg cologne ... Don't. Do. It. The ladies will run for the hills ... we can smell cheap cologne a mile away; and that is not a good thing!

I recommend Lotte and Versace Blue Jeans ... kind of an old school fragrance but I hear it doubles as a panty remover ... Just sayin'.

By Bootleg I was meaning ripped off from the warehouse , not the mixed in a cauldron crap. Although fake fragrances are getting harder to spot these days, just like the bags, they're getting good at it- I hear the really popular ones they've gotten so good as to get the notes down, but it just fades faster. Given the total non selection here in my backwoods city, I'd take that. I'm really just looking for those two scents tho...I was able to find most everything else, just not those two. Vera Wang for men that doesn't cost 150,000 won for a 50ml bottle would be nice too.

Lotte has a fragrance?

Best bet is to bring some from home. I brought 10 bottles and had some sent in boxes by the fam. The trick is to have things listed as "toiletries" or other personal effects. Do not list perfume or other alcohol based on the customs form.

Other winning tips:

-Gmarket has some testers on the cheap, but a limited selection.

-Fragrance X has a website where they send stuff with free shipping (over $75) and I had a box of 3 bottles arrive unmolested by customs. Also, shave cream and gels from major designers.

-Check out the train station in Fukuoka when in Japan. Japan has discount stores with cheap (compared to Korea) scents. Tenjin Core and the like.

-Try getting a used bottle shipped over from a private seller. I have had several bottles sent from the USA, England and Canada. Again make sure you have them write personal toiletries or cosmetics on the customs form.

You can find anything on the cheap at the site below. Or request a bottle.

If you have exquisite taste, these companies ship to Korea:

Ask me for more help. I love fragrance.
