Some interesting points here, you feel:

Here is an alternative scenario. On December 7, 2005, Manchester United lost 2-1 to Benfica to finish bottom of Champions League group D. The Glazers had been in charge for six months. Had United been a plc there would have been an immediate impact on the share price followed by a statement at least, and possibly a profits warning. Who knows what the ramifications would have been from there? With no shareholders to placate, the Glazers simply kept their mouths shut, flew home and in 18 months Manchester United were champions again.
Now extrapolate the fallout from a financial hit to the plc in 2005. Would it have left United open to offers on the odd player, perhaps an expendable unproven one like that Portuguese lad who many had marked down as a show pony? That would have plugged the Champions League shortfall straight away. Even had Ronaldo been around to ignite Manchester United�s resurgence, the idea of three League titles and �80m from last summer is a little far-fetched.
A plc board does not turn down very good money for a player who wants to leave and there was �60m sitting on the table from Real Madrid in 2008. So, no Ronaldo, no third straight title because take him away and Liverpool are League champions and considerably stronger for it. Maybe they keep Xabi Alonso, too |
And one final thing:

Seems a tad pessimistic. United have looked awful most of the season and have suffered from many injuries but still sit pretty 2 points back in mid-January. If this season is anything like the past 18 years then they will roll off a 20-30 game unbeaten streak, take command of the premiership, and be a threat in Europe.
I think that AC Milan was a good draw for them. All of their players are over 30 (except Pato).
I think that 1st or 2nd in the league and the champions league semifinals is a realistic prediction.
Also, this thread will become a United bashfest. |

Are there any supporters clubs/ bars in major cities in Korea. I am from Toronto and watch the premier league games religiously every weekend. I am curious if there are any supporters bars in Korea for like minded individuals.

| Great question. Sadly, I've no idea. I usually used MU games as an excuse to stay home. I honestly can't recall watching a single MU game in a bar when I lived in Sparkle! |

Wondering the same thing as a fellow Canadian MU supporter (Victoria) as I make my way to Korea in late-Feb. You'd think there must be...isn't Park Ji-Sung a national hero ?? Anywhere in/around Seoul? There must be sports bars.
The form has definitely been a little hit and miss but this is the usual time they start hitting their stride. Fergie will whip out the old hair dryer and get 'em going. Hopefully have Rio back soon and even whispers of good Canadian kid Hargreaves...pray his knee tendons have been replaced with titanium cause he's a beauty when he's on form and they need the tenacity in mid-field. |

Oh ya.....f@ck the Glazers. Borrowing against the club to buy it...perfect. 700M down and the possibilty of selling Old Trafford (renamed?)and leasing it.
Apparently there will be a protest march before the second leg of the Carling Cup semi. Boot the Glazers and bring in some Hong Kong billionaire. Also I hear Dubai has a couple guys with a bit of spare change floating around. |

I live near a small city. There is one sports bar here. The owner is a Utd nut. He shows every game without fail. I'm sure there are sports bars/supporters bars somewhere in Seoul |

Nothing against Man U, but it got what it deserved with the Glazers. Protest marches won't make any difference. |

Well no..its more symbolic but its not as if the fans had any control in the matter. |
