I think I might be? Anyone else teaching/living in Yangju?
More importantly, where do you go to socialize? |

You're not alone up there, but Yangju isn't exactly a convenient area for meeting other people either. Uijeongbu is your closest area for anything resembling a nightlife. Check out Uijeongbu Crew on Facebook. You should be able to get in touch with some people to meet up with through them. |

This is a funny post. In the beginning I thought I was the only one up here except for the people I work with. ...Actually, you may be one of the people I work with. I am in Yangju, but I'll soon be moving to Dongducheon, though. |

If you like burgers, the best burger in Korea is in Dongducheon, at a place called Marty's, near Bosun Station.

In some places it can feel like you are the only foreigner on the planet. |

Marty's has an amazing steak and cheese sandwich as well. There 's some new competition north of Seoul for best burger though. A newish place called The Burger, located across from the THC (Tae-han Cinema) building outside of Exit 2 at Uijeongbu Station, is great! It's between a Vietnamese noodle place and a Baskin Robbins. Worth a try for anyone up in the general area. |
