To whom it may concern,

I am trying to obtain information about the Jung-Chul Franchise schools in South Korea. I am new to this game and have heard horror stories about some of the foreigners who have gone over there. Does anyone have any up-to-date information on the Jung-Chul Franchise? I have been told that there are 200 of them in South Korea. The one I am inquiring about is in a place called Nonsan. Please advise!

i worked at one for a year, but not in nonsan. i've heard different stories. like you'll hear a thousand times, it's not the name of the school, it's the director that'll make your time good or bad.

my experience was mostly good. it was a good position for a newbie because all of my classes we preplanned. all classes were on CD rom. computer with giant monitor in all classes. lotsa materials, like flash cards and extra books. but the drawback with the CD rom thing is that you can get pretty bored teaching this stuff over and over, with little room to add your own activities. the directors were cool, didn't give me many problems.

but i also had a friend who ran from a jung chul. don't know what exactly the problem was. i think it was mostly a crazy director thing. also, she didn't like the teaching method, CD rom thing.

i would ask them exactly what you'll be teaching. it really does vary, even at huge franchises.

I have an offer for a jung-chul in Namyangju. The contract I got from them was pretty good and the director at this one is a young woman who had lived in the US for a while. The teacher I would be replacing had a pretty foul mouth but everyone seemed nice.
