Is it advisable to send a digital camera from the UK or is it likely to get damaged? |

I suppose it depends on how well it is packaged. If I was you I would have a look at cameras in Korea first - Techno Mart, Yongsan etc if you are in Seoul. Maybe HiMart and those kinds of shops as well. Choose a few models you like and then check their prices against the same model in the UK.
Remember when you post from the UK you are going to want to have it insured which will cost extra. I think I remember reading somewhere that items over a certain value are charged import tax when entering Korea, though I have never imported anything of value so I can't be sure. But again you will want to check that out first.
If it works out that you pay 20 pounds for postage and say 20 pounds import tax it may just be better to buy the camera here. I am just guessing these figures though, depends who you buy from and the value of the camera I suppose. |

To bring one = yes.
To send one = no. Just get it here. Pricing will be comparable to the UK for most comparable point and shoot cameras and if you are interested in DSLR you should probably have a look through the technology forum for DSLR.
