So annoying...we've had our Samsung washer/dryer for about 6 months (we bought it, as we furnished our own place). This morning I did a load of washing and drying and it was fine. This evening I did another load and on the dry cycle it started beeping. Cleaned the filter as the manual suggested. Four hours later (totally beyond me why Korean dryers take 3-4 hours to dry a load of laundry??) the clothes are hot (washed in cold) but sopping wet. This has happened a few other times.

We do hang clothes sometimes but often I don't like them to be all stiff like they get on the line.

I have the number for "customer consultations" but it appears to be a national number, not local to my city. Anyone have the right number for local (Jeonju) Samsung/Hauzen people to come to my house and fix this thing (a separate "service number," maybe)? I've never had to do this before.

Do you have an exhaust line coming out from the dryer? Few dryers in Korea have one. Without it, there is no way for all the moisture to escape, hence the hot damp clothes. I have a combo washer/dryer as well. The dryer function comes out the same way. Takes hours for hot wet clothes. I looked into hooking up an exhaust tube from the back, but little can be done when you live on the 13th floor and the machine is built in under the stove top.

As far as the local service number, not sure. Good luck.

If you call the national number, they should be able to redirect you or give you the phone number to the local office.

http://www.samsungsvc.co.kr/

accepts reservation for 'house calls' over the internet, where you select the date and timeslot. The order must be put in, no surprise, in Korean though, including your address/contact details as well as a brief description of the problem/'symptoms.'

You can ignore the 'login/registration' window, since you can make a reservation as a non-member as well.
