Does anyone know of a good laser hair removal place in Daegu or close by???
I've heard it's pretty cheap here and worth getting done. I'm hoping for one that speaks English or at least a LITTLE bit of English.
Let me know where you went and how much it cost! Thanks so much! |

You could always try shaving. What color is your hair? If its blonde, I'm sure your boyfriend/husband won't mind a little fur |

Unless you're doing under your arms, I'd avoid doing it here. They're not used to foreign types of skin and hair. |

i'm probably going to get it done in a month or two. i think a lot of dermatologists here do laser hair removal (at least the ones in the gangnam area).
for half a leg i was quote 400,000 per treatment... the doctor said it would take about 3 treatments. i think that's probably on the high end though.
a friend of my got her pits done for 50,000 (that was for 5 treatments). personally, i don't mind paying more for someone that's fluent in english... and it's still waaayyyy less than what i'd pay back home. |

An acquaintance of mine with light brown hair is raving about her laser removal treatments here. She's getting everything done. The cost is a fraction of what it would be back in GB. |

The thing to consider when you have laser hair removal is that it closes your pores, hence you wont be able to sweat through them anymore. A female friend of mine had her arm pits done and now sweats profusely through her back and face. Not a pretty site on a hot day. |

It certainly does not close your pores. It kills the follicle. The hair then seems to grow for a week then falls out. The pore is still open. I did my legs and underarms back home, and when I go to the gym I still get sweaty at the armpits. |

What about facial hair? I'm male. I shave every 2-3 days. Can laser remove the moustache and beard permanently? Not that its too much of a mission to shave, but it would be nice to not have the rugged look so often. What about hair on the nose? Or is it too dangerous to use laser hair removal on the face? |

With enough treatments it can be rid of your bearded woodsman look permanently.
I think with fewer treatments you can even get it to grow in slower and thinner so you don't have to wield a razor as often, which might be beneficial if you don't want to go all the way. |

I go to the IAAN Cosmetic Surgery Clinic in Daejeon (I am in Daegu).
They have an English coordinator. The price was pretty reasonable. I am currently getting my underarms and upper-lip done. Their prices are in US dollars, but they of course accept won, they just use the exchange rate. I got six treatments for around 300,000 won. The gal gave me the same exchange rate as my friends. My friends, for paying cash, got a seventh treatment included. The doctor is very friendly.
