No, the phone call, threats, etc. I'm not sure taking the baby was an act (i think he had an "a-ha" moment when Holly said "Mamma!"), but his call was. |

No, he's smarter and more calculating than that even if he's prone to screwing things up in the long run. He'd rather be a monster in the eyes of his family than have the youngest one end up in foster care.
I also don't think he really wanted them to kill Jesse after they had killed Hank (the last thing Hank told him made him realize he had been a fool). He's trying to appear as if he's cool with them. I think he's planning on avenging Hank, saving Jesse, and possibly getting his money back.

No, I think he was pissed at Skyler and took the kid.
But, the phone call was to protect his kids - family. He was clever enough to realize that the police were there by now and would be listening to the call. So he took the opportunity to make it look like he was threatening her to keep quiet and that he was acting on his own.
Walt gave Skyler a way out which in turn will allow her to raise the kids. |

So one fault of the show: he's still getting chemo but grows a beard and a full head of hair? Uh nope.. Sorry..
That aside, this was a good build up to the last episode. I only wonder why Jesse just doesn't commit suicide yet. |

Do we know he is back to getting chemo? Haven't seen him at the doctors in a long while.
The thing that I don't understand is that after getting tens of millions of dollars, the white supremacists go back to cooking meth right away. You would think they would at least take some time off and get the lay of the land or have a little fun, especially after just offing two DEA agents. But then I guess Walt would not get the chance to save Jesse and use that bag of guns. |
