Hi there. I have recently moved to Kimhae (Gimhae).
Just wondering who else is here- how many foreigners, where do you hang out, etc etc.
Other than being asked if I am Russian everyday- it seems like a cool place to live. Any thoughts on that?

I have crisscrossed Gyeongsangnam province many times over the last year and a half but I have yet to go to Gimhae, though I've passed it.
There's been at least two posters at Dave's who're living in Gimhae but I can't recall their usernames at the moment. It's also relatively close to Busan and beaches here on the island (my avatar for one) for weekend getaways.
BTW, it's named "Gimhae".
"Kimhae" went out with the other old spellings of "Pusan" "Cheju" "Kwangju" and "kimchi". But of course many oldtimers are slow to change their ways and some proudly shirk the official spellings, others have no idea of the difference.
Welcome to Gorea!
Just joking about Korea! (that's one 'k' that's not a 'g' now) |

All the Gimhae gang go into Busan, usually the university area.
I've never been there but apparently its a bit of a dump. |
