If I bring over a spouse and child, will they receive health insurance through me? Is it required? How much will it cost?

Where do you plan on working? Not sure if I would pack up the whole family to go to Korea. Really depends on what kind of job offer you have, pay, apt,...etc.

If you have NHIC medical (WITH THE BOOKLET) there is NO ADDITIONAL cost to add them to your booklet and they have the same coverage that you do.

Just get your office to fill in the paperwork and you should get the new booklet with all of your names in it in about 2 weeks.

My insurance fee actually went DOWN after I added my wife and daughter to my plan. That was a nice bonus!

well that is great information. thanks everyone.

I have some interesting circumstances, and as of now my spouse and I cannot be joined in any other (simpler) way than Korea. We have been before so I know what the costs and such are. Though we weren't married w/child then.
