Has anybody heard any stories of people not being allowed to leave the US when trying to leave on a vacation or business trip? I've read that there's something called a 'no fly' list that unsuspecting people have been totally surprised to find they were on....and they were denied exit of the country.

Regards,
Art

that's for people who are suspected of terrorism. but if you have the same name as someone who is suspected of terrorism you might be hassled. supposedly there's a way to find out if you're on this list and contest it, but you can search the internet for it just as well as i can.

I appreciate you comments and logic but I'll tell you what I think......(yeah, just an opinion)

I think the US government is rapidly becoming a police state. And just like in any other police state of history (dare I name some?) they always get really paranoid and eventually wind up just clamping down on everything.

Me..I blog a lot. And I've pretty well expressed my opinions fairly often. I've never advocated terrorism or anything but........again, who can tell what goes through the mind of some hypersensitive bureaucrat nowadays?

Anyway.......

Thanks,
Art

To be critical, it is a "No-Fly List" not a "No-Exit List". The US has 2 land borders.

I'm sure the US government has bigger fish to fry than obscure bloggers. You'll be fine, happy flying! Wink
