|
|
Hello. I have some stains and it's past a teeth cleaning. If I have to wait to go back to the States it wil cost at least $100 USD and that may not be including the mandatory X-rays. Can someone recommend me a safe, trustworthy dental hygienist for my teeth cleaning? What are the prices like in Seoul for a trustworthy hygienist? Speaking Korean is not a must because I will probably bring a friend! Thank you! |

To have your teeth cleaned here in Korea is relatively cheap. They call it 'scaling'. There are a ton of places around. I would ask a Korean teacher for a referel. Cheers. |

Thanks. I guess that's the only response I can get?! Do you know about how much it is? Thanks again.

I go to Columbia Dental in Itaewon. I'm more comfortable with a dentist who speaks English. The head of the practice also has a practice in NYC. I haven't had any complaints thus far. |

I went to a place in Gwanghwamun recently. It cost me 40,000w. I believe that is a little on the expensive side here, but the place I got it done is apparently one of the best dental clinics in Seoul (according to my co-workers). Oh, they had sorta minimal English. I went on my own and was fine, though. |

expect to pay 40-60.000 won for a scaling, but dont expect that service to remove stains! if you want stains removed you might want to look into Teeth whitening, G7 is a famous dentist franchise..
might help letting the board members know what town you live in, to narrow down your search.. |

can you give me directions/contact information for this clinic? i wanted to go for a teeth cleaning as well, but i've heard that some dentists here recommend unnecessary procedures so i've been hesitating for a while now. |

I recommend Maryland Dental Clinic. Dr Park speaks good English. It was 50 000 for scaling and she did a great job. The clinic is located on the 6th floor of the Landmark building opposite COEX mall. |

Thank you very much everyone for your suggestions. Ooh, so do these places open on weekend? I guess I could make do if not but I'd appreciate it if you know off hand whether they are open on the weekend. Thanks again! |

I found an English speaking dentist in Itaewon for 50K plus they said the X-rays are mandatory for 30K so it seems to be the same. NY something dental? Thanks all! |

Dr. Jo Seung hee at East-West Kyunghee University hospital. Specializes in gums and has a gentle touch. Friendly and kind as well. |

I believe I paid 60k for a cleaning. It was worth it because it was in Ilsan and the dentist spoke fluent English and checked up on me. |
