I am looking into teach English in South Korea and I have no idea where to begin. I already have a BS in English (writing and literature) but no teaching certification. I'm currently enrolled in the community college near my home for a degree in Medical Coding..but I feel like it's a waste of my time as many hospitals are now outsourcing their coding. I'm 24 years old so I hope that's alright. I just have no idea where to begin..I'm a bit eager to get out of here and start my life..

Well start by finding a job. You can look on here for one. Then just start applying. You need to figure out where in Korea you want to live. That's really all there is to it. It's easy.

Start by getting your documents in order, recruitment agencies won't bother much with you until they do (although they might set up some interviews if you're lucky).

Then email the recruiters you see posting jobs here with information like your expected departure date (I'd go for a couple of months ahead unless you're readier to leave than you let on) teaching/mentoring experience (doesn't have to be much but a little helps) phone number (as you'd dial it from abroad) and time they can contact you.

Try hiteacher.com for posting your CV. The recruiter who found me my job contacted me from there and I still get emails from others. Try and find out what your selling points are and put them in the subject heading. This thread is optimistic, but very helpful:

http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?t=191132

Following that advice got me quite a few agents working at once (if you apply for private schools thats the best way, public schools I would go with EPIK)

I'm trying to piece together some kind of guide to finding a job with all the little bits of advice I got given, but since it's work in progress and a lot of it is relevant to the UK mostly it might not be much help to you but I can pm a link if you want one.

To find out more on anything search the forums using
site: forums.eslcafe.com and then your search criteria into google because it's the quickest way to turn up answers to specific questions.

Get your visa documents in order and figure out where you want to go and what you're willing to accept in terms of pay, benefits, vacation time, and the age groups you're willing to teach. Then just mass email recruiters your resume and photo, search esl job boards and apply to everything that appeals to you. It's not to late to go for a public school job, either.
