Today, I thought about posting this thread. I've just seen a thread about bad customer service, so it seems 'great minds think alike'.
Feel free to post true stories of excellent customer service.
Mine is about a software company that provides anti-virus software. On a few occasions, I've had some minor problems. I've contacted them online and they have a live chat facility.
They can even connect to your computer by remote and fix technical issues on the spot. Once, they sent an email about subscription renewal, after I had already paid for the product for another year. I pointed this mistake out to them.
In a live chat, one of their technicians apologized and provided a few extra months subscription, totally free! Every issue I've raised with them was resolved on the same day. The company is Symantec.
Lastly, I used to call toll free numbers of various food products to give them positive feedback. Warburton's bread, a British company, thanked me and on 2 occasions sent out free vouchers for a loaf of bread.
I also contacted another British company, they make apple biscuit/cakes, they also sent a free voucher for their apple biscuit/cakes.
Please provide real-life examples of excellent customer service.
