Damn. This job offer is ridiculous and insulting:
Perfer female teacher in the morning.
ADULT
Tues, and Thurs
HOURS 7:00am~8:00am. 30,000 won per hour.
I can show up at 7 am and get a whopping 30,000. Oh and I have to be a girl. Any chance that this job gets filled?

Crazy. You get up at 6 o'clock or whatever and go somewhere to teach for just one hour. Also from the time of the lesson I would assume it's teaching adults before they go to work. I can understand Koreans misguidedly thinking that women are somehow inherently better kids' teachers than men but now they think they do business classes better as well? |

It looks like they are a recruiting agency, not a school. They are probably getting people already with a school, in which case, they just want a teacher who is looking to earn an extra 150,000/week (600,000/month).
It also mentions evening hours, so this 30,000 thing could be 1.2 million by the end of the month.
The only reasonable thing I can think of to hire a female instead of male teacher is that they already have male teachers, and perhaps the school they are recruiting for has female only students who are stubborn about only learning with a female teacher.
Either that, or a bunch lonely Korean businessmen want to compete for the attention of one lucky lady who might forget to put on her makeup one morning |

Its two day a week. So that's 60,000 a week. It's in Yoido so there is a good chance its a corporate job. |

Good, now get 2 more of those job offers, and you will see where I am coming from.
The recruiter gets more money from 3 schools 2 days a week than just 1 school 5 days. Happy thinking |

Stop trying to polish this turd. Two more of these offers would be six days a week at 7 am for 180,000. 30,000 for a one hour unblocked hour gig is total crap. The fact that its at 7 am just adds insult to injury. This is a corporate or possibly an adult hogwon gig for businessmen. You cant just play bingo. Furthermore it would only be open to F visas. Too bad you are in China or you could take this job. Im sure its still open. |

The recruiter will pay you 30K, but is probably charging the client here 80K at least. |

Why do you assume I am in support of this? I was just commenting it was a recruiter, not a school and why they would want 3 teachers or farm out 1 teacher to 3 schools instead of working with just one school. If the above poster is right about 80,000, they would make 150,000 a week without doing the actual teaching.
I know what being farmed out to many schools is like, and I am definitely NOT promoting it, ESPECIALLY in Korea with the current visa restrictions. |
