Anyone have any information about getting a H-1 visa? I have a friend who wants to head over to Korea, and he basically just wants more info. He's American, but isn't interested in doing a teaching job and would just like a typical job in South Korea.
The information in regards to the South Korea holiday work visa states that Americans are eligible, but I want to know if any of you by chance have more specific information and details.
Thanks, I appreciate it. |

The US does not have a normal working holiday arrangement with Korea.
The information on working holiday visas for US citizens is a bit sketchy, and it oddly doesn't seem reciprocal as it seems Koreans have to pay extra money to go to the US. The immigration site doesn't actually mention that the US is one of the approved countries. His best bet is to contact the embassy in the US and ask them directly. |
