|
|
I use KT as my internet provider, and recently my connection fails in one-hour intervals. I will lose connections to Skype, Yahoo Messenger, etc., as well as ending any http download I may have going on at the time.
The connection does come back up by itself within a few seconds, but suffice to say this is extremely annoying. I suspect this is related to my DHCP lease: in my network properties, it expires every hour. I am stumped on how to get this extended to a longer time. |

i have the exact same problem. not always every hour, but often enough to be annoying. i've assumed it is my router, but, if you find out whats wrong, please post... |

Are you guys connecting through a wireless router? If so, check your router admin for a "rekey interval" setting. Increase the value or set it to zero to disable it. |

I'm not using a router; the Ethernet cable is going straight from the wall into my laptop. |
