i've tried everything. i'm pretty sure the website/business is now defunct, yet if one were to do a google search of my name, my resume, photo, and all sorts of private details appear. it's a HUGE invasion of privacy, and frankly, it scares me to have all this information so readily accessible.

i've tried emailing them and calling them. nothing. the phone number was connected to someone who clearly had no idea what was going on, and two of the email addresses they advertise are defunct.

i have no idea what to do, apart from legal action, but i don't know where to begin.

yes, i was probably stupid by not checking out the website properly first before i put up my resume. bu that's not the issue. the issue is, i want my personal details to completely disappear, and these people aren't responding.

and no, i didn't need to log in at the time to post my resume. so, i can't remove it myself. i even tried to sign up last night, but the website never sent my a username and password.

this is messed up. any ideas?

Wow...I just hope you weren't one of the people that posted scans of your passport info page and your degrees...what were some people thinking? A resume is one thing, but that stuff?

Sorry -- is there an editing feature once you post something? That is, if you are a member, can you update information? If so, update with empty space.....

I have the SAME problem with the same site. Anyone who types in my name sees it on the first page of google's results. It has my entire resume and a portrait picture. Thank god I didn't scan my degree or passport.

I'd advise people not to send passport, degree or apostille scans to any Korean recruiters or recruiting agencies, as they may end up on the internet, and if/when the recruiter goes belly up, your documents may float in cyber space until their domain name expires.

i'm a bit silly, not insane. Wink

nah, nothing more than my resume, my photo, and my specific circumstances at the time - definitely not worse than legal documents, but still enough to be concerned.

i've tried everything. i didn't need to log in/sign up to put my resume on their website. as far as i can see, there are no options to edit/delete/whatever.

it's kind of comforting knowing other people are in the same situation. i just wish there was something that could be done.
