Hey guys,

Can anyone confirm it's illegal to teach by yourself in public school? This is after-school classes, not the main lessons.

Thanks,

After-school classes are private classes held in Public schools.

Its ok and legal and expected for you to teach by yourself - thats what the parents pay for.

It is NOT illegal to teach the after-school program by yourself.

You do however "officially" have a faculty member who is "responsible" for you even though you may never meet him or know who he is.

Do you mean with a co-teacher?

or are you talking about doing private lessons without a proper visa?

after school classes but in the school -overtime hours I'd imagine

it's legal to teach by yourself and you're expected to in most places, limit the class size hugely to avoid any issues with not having a Korean teacher present
