Ok, so somewhere on this forum there's got to be someone who knows how to send money home and get the actual exchange rate instead of having them skim off the top.
How do you do it? |

The best you will get is about 2-3% off the overnight rate.
Buy a money order from the local bank (that offers currency exchange).
Mail it to your bank with a request to deposit to your account.
Cost is about 5000 won for the money order + 1000 won for the stamp and envelope. |

What he said... except I would use registered mail. We ARE talking about money here... and one can never be too careful. |
