Now THAT'S a burger!

I sympathize with Korean students who say they don't like hamburgers because all they know are those corner store wraps and McDs.

A good homemade hamburger is a fine lunch. And yeah, best eaten in the early afternoon as the biggest meal of the day, burned off by physical activity.

Pastrami and gouda croissant with Habanero mustard! Surprised Tangy lime tart! Very Happy

(The bloody half-raw meat dishes shown up close made me want to hurl though. Ugh.)

You call that a burger? Check out the Cathedral burger

Used to go hiking at the Cathedral ranges, and then get a Buxton burger and chips and coke, those were the days.

Wow...I never thought I'd read about Cathedral Ranges on Dave's. Apparently I missed out by never trying the Cathedral Burger though. We usually stopped at Narbethong. I could've done with one after the night we got lost up the side of North Jawbone on our outdoor ed camp... Laughing

Double meh.

I had burgers at a British pub once. Good the first time. Second time, just ok. Kind of disgusting at a certain point.

"Egg and pineapple is delici.."

Whatever.

Narby....grandparents used to have a farm there (lost in the fires) but the name conjures up bad childhood memories of my sister getting carsick due to my old man thrashing his Fiat around the Black Spur like the frustrated rally car driver he was.

I never attempted the Cathedral burger, ate the Buxton burger once or twice but usually went for the lot without egg as usual.

You think that's a good burger? How about a roadtrain burger from Nindigully pub.

Quote:
The burger weighs in at 5kg - the meat patty alone is 1.2kg - and comes with French fries, onion rings and a selection of sauces. It costs $36 and feeds up to a dozen people.
