The best part is when he gets hit in the balls by the dinosaur on the string and obviously loses the whole act for a second.

Child abuse. That boy has now had a very traumatic experience that could scar him for life, make him predisposed to violence and fear. It was not just twisted but sick. To think that this event will not have a lasting NEGATIVE effect on a little boy is foolish. No, it is not equivalent to Halloween pranks because with Halloween the kids know beforehand that it is fake even if they buy into it at the moment. This boy actually tried to kill the zombie, suffocate it to death. They are lucky the kid didn't come across a knife and stab the guy. The stupid, cruel things people do to each other to get an unsympathetic laugh.

QQ more imho. One little prank isn't going to destroy the life of a kid and turn him into a serial killer.

What is this, HARD COPY? No need to be so crudely overblown with your interpretation of the psychology talked about. Geez. It's more about degree of trust, propensity for outbursts and willingness to think the worst of situations and motives. Things like that. Really, to expect such a terrorizing event to be neutral with respect to the child's development is pretty naive. The adults involved were not at all considering the best interests of the kid. In some countries parents who do stuff like that could lose custody through the intervention of social services. While that would be an overreaction, it would be spurred by considerations for the child's welfare, something the jack stupid adults paid no attention to.

I thought it did nothing but help a kid have an imagination. Look at him go! A regular kid of this age would just sit down and cry with his Nintendo DS in his hand.

Things like this have much less effect on someone than people like Mr/s sensitive up there may think.
I had many traumatic experiences, I turned out fine. If the rest of the parenting is ok, of course.

That is brilliant, I love when he instructs the zombie to drink the blood, and gives the reporter a lecturing!! Very Happy

Thats quite the immaginative kid, I do hope they told him its a joke. I don't think it amounts to child abuse though.

apparently the show is a "make a wish" type show and the kid and sister wanted to kill a zombie as their wish.... so i don't think it's abuse when the kid wanted it.

I heard that in the next Make a Wish episode, they grant a 5 year old kids wish to become a surgeon. One of the producers volunteers to go under the knife.

Perhaps, but the kid knew it was fake because the zombie took off his shoes before coming into the house.

Kids know a real zombie wouldn't bother to do this.
