does anyone know when universities in china start hiring? i'd ask on the china board, but i'd have to get permission from dave's first and that just pisses me off.

it's not so much about the salary anymore. i've found that some universities in china will let me teach science, so i'm basically just looking to aim more towards where i want to be in the future. i've got an MSc, so it looks like i can expect maybe about $900? Wink

You are late, It is mid term but they do hire some in the middle of the year.

when you say mid-term, do you mean their school year runs september through to june? or march to february? i'm hoping for an august 2011 start, but i want to start researching possibilities early.

Universities run from September through June. Chinese new year is the break point for the first semester. There will be a few jobs for the second semester. Probably better chance of starting next year.
