|
|
When I hook my Ps3 into my internet it won't connect to the internet. I'm using KT without a router as it comes straight from my wall and the internet works fine since i'm posting on here. Would KT be blocking it somehow through a firewall? It detects an IP address but times out and gives error 80028E06 everytime I test the internet connection.. I've tried to manually enter the DNS settings DNS1 : 208.67.222.222 , DNS2 : 208.67.220.220- only to get the same result. Suggestions? |

I had the same problem here. The issue was that the internet was trying to have me login when it connected so it gave the PS3 an IP address but every other check failed. To fix it, I connected that cable to my computer and logged in (meaning I went to the login screen and closed it 'cuz qook internet randomly goes to that) and then plugged it into the ps3. Once it registered internet like that I never had a problem again.
I don't know if you have the same kind of login screen issue, but it worked for me. |

Not sure what you mean by the login in screen. The internet fails every time i set up the internet connection but the PS3 recognizes it's connected as a wired connection. |

The login screen I'm talking about popped up every time I turned on my computer or woke it from sleep. A wireless router might fix it, too. |

My computer has always been logged in, hopefully it'll be fixed today, I'm thinking that it's a firewall and KT needs to open up some ports |

Not sure if this will help but when you turn on the PS3 go to the internet browser, you might have to log into your internet account...once you login to your internet account on the PS3 internet browser you should not have to do it again |

I'll try that thanks.. it was never asking me to login but that may be the source of the problem |

I just called KT and said my internet isn't working.
Before they arrived I hid my laptop, changed my PS3 language to Korean and then told them I couldn't get my PS3 connected.
Then the guy fiddled with the settings for a while while on the phone to his office and eventually got it working.
After that I just changed the language setting back to English and it was game on!!!! |
