| I was told I have 3 month upon receipt of visa issuance number to the time I go to a Korean embassy to process it. I will be going to Thailand and would like to go to the beaches first for a few weeks and then go to Bangkok and do the immigration stuff. This would make it a few weeks shy of the 3 months. Do you think it would be wiser to go to Bangkok first and then do the beach holiday thng? Just want your opinion |

The visa issuance number is good for 90 days from the date of issue.
The actual visa itself is good for an additional 90 days AFTER issue before you MUST have entered Korea or it will expire.
Personally, I would get the visa then head for the beach (unless you plan to spend more than 90 days on the sand).
If there will be complications it would be better to have them when you have time to sort it out (sitting on the beach) rather than AFTER you have spent all the time on the beach and are up against the clock.
Side note: your one year period doesn't start until you get the entry stamp on the visa as you enter Korea so the 90 days after the visa is issued and before you enter is irrelevant.
