|
|
Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyone has had to pay a speeding ticket in Korea. I rented a car for Chusok and on the highway they must have caught me on Camera cause I didn't slow down at the camera spots which are clearly marked on all gps machines.
I'm getting my assistant to read them and apparently the interest keeps on growing on them or something. Has anyone else had to deal with them. Pay or not pay? I may never use the license again? Will that effect my driving record in Canada? |

Lots of people don't pay the tickets and get hit with them, plus additional fees, when they go to buy a new car. You probably don't have anything to worry about. |

Ya so when I decide to leave Korea they are going to hit with me a fine right? Like it isn't linked to my Alien card just my drivers license? Can you take tickets to court here? |

Usually if you get tickets the rental company will charge your credit card for any speeding tickets plus a processing fee on top. |

I got one for Chuseok too. They called my school to tell me about it so I went down to them and asked them for the ticket with the photo, they said they sent it to head office in seoul and they would call the cops to get a copy and then they would call me when it came to them.
They still haven't called me and it's been 2 weeks since I went down to them. I don't mind paying it, I think it's for W35,000 or something like that.
I don't doubt them as they gave me an area and day of when it occured and I was there at that time. I also work less than 2 minutes walk away from the rental place and they have seen me walking past. I might just call in again on monday and see what's happening. |

Don't be a deadbeat d**chebag whitey and just pay your damned ticket. Seriously, you screwed up and got caught. Man up and pay your fine. |

While I agree with the general sentiments of this post (ie just pay up) I cant find the part where the OP clarified for his readers his race. I swear, my reading comprehension is taking a serious dive of late. |
