|

I want to download Korean music, but I don't know what a good program is to do such a thing. Does anyone know what programs the Koreans use for this?

one person (korean friend) once directed me to www.bugs.co.kr.
the problem is, . . . it's all in korean, so unless you can read hangul well, you'll need to get someone to direct you through it all. or find another site.
sorry i couldn't be of more help. |

Yeah, I can read hangul. Actually, it would be preferable if the program were in Korean, cause then I don't have to guess and the romanization of words.
Actually, I'm looking for a file-sharing program so I can save them on my computer. I don't think I can do that with bugs (correct me if I'm wrong), but thanks anyway! |

I always use kazaalite - lots of Korean songs, sometimes romanised, sometimes not
The other way would be to go to www.soompi.com or www.solid07.net and look at their "download files" (or something like that) forums and they should have an up-to-date list of websites or even directlinks for download. (They are two of the best Korean music/drama websites) |

I think Bugs is just streaming audio, isn't it?
Overnet (and its predecessor E-donkey) is very popular for downloading Korean content and you can get lots of Korean songs as well as the latest tv shows. And obviously it supports hangul characters (as long as you have the Windows language pack installed)

Yang Jung-hwan, 28, and his 32-year-old brother Yang Il-hwan have been indicted on criminal charges of copyright violation. Their crime? They are the programmers behind 'Soribada', a Korean version of Napster. The Yang brothers are fighting the charges, hiring one of South Korea's largest law firms, Bae, Kim & Lee, to represent them in the case. |
in korean - i'm betting it kicks overnets ass all over the place for korean tunes.
there is also another 1 that a teacher @ school uses but i can't remember the name... i'll post it tomorrow as no skool today

Thanks for the links. I'm checking them all out right now.
And I'd also be interested in finding sites with guitar tablature of Korean songs. So there's two of us now who would be grateful to anyone who could help
I know you can find some actual transcriptions of Korean groups in bookstores, but the choice is pretty limited. |
