I have been offered a job in Cheonan, and i cannot make my mind up what the general opinion of this city is. I am looking for a place where i can mix with other teachers from all over the world and where there are a good selection of bars/restaurants etc. If anybody has any information on this place i would appreciate it. Cheonan is a small city with only one real area to go out. Most of the activities are around Ya-oo-ri department store. Lots of restuarants and bars. The Banana bar is where you will find many foreigners. But my understanding is most go up to Seoul on the weekend.
I lived in Asan for a year and whenever I went out in Cheonan we never saw a lot of foreigners around. They are there but it seems to be be far and few between.
Not a lot to do if you want variety of nightlife/bars etc. |

Regardless of qualifications, etc., you should be able to find something a bit closer to Seoul, if restaurants and nightlife are what you're looking for. A good school could sway it, but Seoul will only be a weekend treat. |
