I have an Asus UL80JT I brought over from the US. I need to reformat it but the built-in factory setting restore won't work, and neither will the option to burn recovery discs. I'm wondering if anyone has this laptop and would be willing to burn the discs on their notebook, or if anyone knows where I can get the discs?

You want to re-format it? Which OS will you use? If you're going to re-install with Vista or Windows 7 then you can go right ahead......Those two OS's will install all the drivers you need to get your laptop up and running.
If you are using XP then you will need to go to the manufacturers website after installation and download and install the drivers for your model manually.
'Factory Setting Restore' and re-format are not the same things.
