so i had an EPIK elementary job last year and finished that contract in august.
i stuck with EPIK but transferred to a high school job for september.
yesterday i noticed a 2 million KRW deposit from the elementary school, now 3 months since i finished...
any idea what that might be? pension? something?
it doesn't look like a pay check b/c it's an even 2 mil, nothing deducted. and i was all caught up for monthly pay and extra classes and everything as far as i know...
any thoughts? happen to anyone else?
i'm definitely not going to complain about it, but i'm curious.
thanks |

Did you get your 2 million for re-signing?
Did you receive your severance? |

That's probably the best way to get your severance. To have forgotten about it, and then see the 2 million won in the account? Wow... nice. |

No it's true, you were overpaid.
Send it to me and I will make sure the right peron gets it. |

I wonder why they paid you. If I were them I would've sniffed out your (cough)level of knowledge about the goings on and waited until you mentioned/complained about not being paid, which would've been never or too late to file a labor ministry complaint. |

But hey good sign right? It's not a hagwon which I'm sure wouldn't do that but getting everything you are entitled to from a school is still a good sign! Not everyone is unscrupulous! |
