Hi, sorry to post this, I can't get the search feature to work. I know there's some google trick that someone showed me but I can't remember how to do it. Anyways, I have some questions about the 4G iPhone. I just arrived in Korea the night before last and need a phone, and since my iPod just broke I'm thinking I might as well get the iPhone. One of the Koreans told me that their Blackberry doesn't work well in the US (it was slower) and that the Korean iPhone might be the same. My guess is that the connection is just slower in the US. Anyways, is this true? Also, apparently it's a three week wait for the 4g iPhone here (and I don't know if I want to wait that long for a phone, it's tough not having one), and it's much more expensive here than in the states.. If I buy it online and have it shipped here, will there be some sort of tariff? Should I just have someone in the US buy it for me and mail it here (which would tack on a sizeable expense)? I can't believe I didn't buy one in the states, what a bonehead move. Anyways, any advice would be appreciated. |

1. Paragraph breaks are awesome.
2. You can't get one(unless you buy it outright) if you're on an E2.
(your boss/co-teacher/friend/gf could help you), but the minimal contract is 2 years, and an E2 visa only lasts for one.
3. If you're sure you can use an American one here (I'm not sure), just have it sent home there, then have your family send it over.
4. Definitely jailbreak it and learn about the best K-apps. Good luck. Mine is awesome. |

You CAN get one on an E2 visa but you need a Korean credit card, something like Shinhan's very basic Love Card will work, which you can easily get with an E2. There's an extensive thread about this on the technology forum. Go to one of KT's global stores once youhave your credit card and they'll happily sign you up. |
