Hi,
I've been thinking since medical costs are so much lower here in Korea than back home (Ireland)- I might go and get a full medical exam done. I dont mean an exam like the one when you arrive here....I mean more like a FULL medical exam where they check for the usual stuff plus diabetes, prostate, cancers, EPG- that sorta thing.
Has anyone out there ever looked into this in Korea. As far as I know its a few thousand euro at home!

As part of the National Insurance Scheme, you get a physical every year. I don't know how in depth it is, but I know the basics are covered each year under the plan. It's a good idea to do a full exam here, the costs are so low and the hospitals here are top notch.

That's interesting, I was also wondering is it cheaper to get fillings over there than in Ireland?

Basic drill and fill are 3500 won (each) if you have NHIC.

Uh, the medical test should be pretty comprehensive. The take your blood and measure your blood sugars and blood protein levels, take xrays of your body( which should pick up abnormal growths such as tumors) and take a Urine test that will measure your sugars, ketones and proteins to determine if anything is wrong with your internal organs
