Until recently, I've been learning Korean just by listening and figuring out what things meant through context. Until just recently, I thought the verb "to find" in Korean was something like "chedetta", because that is how I always hear it pronounced. I was surprised when I saw 찾다 in written form and heard my textbook CD pronounce it "chatta". Is "chadetta" just a heavy Busan accent, or another word entirely? |

I think you mean chajat-dda which is not busan accent, its just the past tense. ^^ chatda is only the dictionary form. |

There are times when I want to rip out the throats of anyone who says daiga.
But because I live in Busan, I've succumbed, and I'm sure I sound like a hick to them fancy wine-drinking chair-using suspender-wearing Seoul folk. |
