I've been developing an interest in trying out some new spices lately. One of them is lemon grass. Anyone know where to find it in Seoul?

Thanks.

You can buy big bags of frozen lemongrass at the foreign food mart in itaewon (up the hill towards the mosque). Not sure of the price but mine has lasted me ages so far.

Thanks, I'll check that out when I'm over there tomorrow. It will probably last me for ages also since I'm just starting to think out what are the important flavors in cooking to expand my cooking flavor palette and I've never actually used lemon grass yet.

I think my list would be something like:

1. garlic, of course.
2. onions, of course.
3. basil
4. flavorful olives (not all are)
5. lemons
6. coconut oil
7. sesame oil and tahini
8. peanut butter
9. olive oil
10. ginger

I think I may become a big coconut eater as well since I think coconuts may be a very healthy food and good to use as a regular snack -- both the milk and the meat of it. I cut one up yesterday and took it in to my elementary students. Most of them really liked it too.

Also, I been reading some interesting articles about coconut oil being the healthy saturated fat due to some unique properties it possesses and I'm interested in exploring that food topic.

Cheers.
