I don't have any first-hand experience with them, but I've heard good things about World Nomads: http://www.worldnomads.com/insurance.aspx . Apparently, you can also do a Google search for a promotional code that will save you a bit on their coverage as well. If you're not worried about cost and are willing to go all out, though, there might be better available - just wanted to share what I know.

there are several global health plans that are London based, applicable to almost anywhere/everywhere in the world EXCEPT the US

(which should tell you something about the US health care pricing structure)

and will cost you around 800USD a year. This was several years ago, perhaps costs have gone up.. so let's say a grand.

google it.. expat health care plans.. global traveler health insurance, etc etc
and I am sure you'll find the info you seek.

Thank you poster 1 and 2 for your help. Nomadish, those coverages are really low. I need 100% insurance. I don't want a 100K limit on emergengy med/dental...suppose I get serious burns in a fire like Bill Kapoun did a few years ago... I need the whole package.

Number 2, since I'll be on the road outside the U.S. it sounds good. I hope it can be purchased from here though.
