I am considering replacing my MBP and thinking of selling my current one.

I would like to know what you all think is good value / asking price for when I do decide to sell.

I have a mid 2007 year
Model Name: MacBook Pro 15"
Model Identifier: MacBookPro1,1
Processor Name: Intel Core Duo
Processor Speed: 2 GHz
L2 Cache: 2 MB
Memory: 1 GB

What should I ask for?

Thanks.

That comp has some dinosaur specs, but then again it is a mac. You may be able to pull some decent money out of one of the many steve jobs groupies if its in good condition, but I wouldn't expect to get more then 150-200 out of that.

Agreed. I'm hoping to get *something* for my poor, abused Macbook when it's time to replace.

Depending on software, I would guess from a quick survey of eBay that you should get around 500,000 won or a bit more. If all else fails, you could sell it on eBay and offer worldwide shipping (less than $100, I think, based on my recent check on shipping a monitor weighing 17 pounds from the US to Korea).

I was just poking around Apple's site and saw their "Buy Back" recycling program. My 2007 White Macbook (still running) gets $246 (marked in fair cosmetic condition).

No link right now (in between classes, only a second.
