I have something in my door about the 2010 Korean Census. It's all in Korean. Does anyone know anything about this? |

I got one too. I guess they don't care to know how many foreigners live in Korea, since they were so unwilling to print the information in other languages. |

they do a nationwide census every 5 years like what the us did this year nothing big they will likely be knocking on your door sometime in the next couple of weeks and you'll have to fill out a form it will be in english. been banners up in my neighborhood about it
wonder if there are any korean michelle bachmans out there who are saying that filling out the census will lead you to being put into a reeducation camp |

I got one. The lady at my door kept looking into my apartment to see if there was a korean inside .
It was just a small envelope with a web address and a code. She seemed to be giving these to everyone |

This'll be my 3rd census here. A few non-invasive questions. No need not to be nice to the person that comes to your door. |

I got one too. I think we have to fill something out online... I'll check tomorrow and see if there's an English option. |

I live in the deepest countryside and they have banners up in Korean and English. Foreigners can also take part in the census. However, the banners have yet to mention how. |

I got my letter and just asked my boss. Printed on it in red says what day they will come by your house. Mine is Nov 1 - 11. However, also printed in red gives a list of dates you can join the census site for. Mine is like Oct 25 - 31. If you join the site, using the special code printed on your letter, you can answer all the questions there, and they won't come to your house. I'm not sure if the site is in English though.
I'm just going to let them come to my house, I'm cool with that. |

I got one of those cards too. Then the next day I got a big brochure, it has information in 8 foreign languages including English. I was actually quite impressed. One issue is they ask for your name, nationality, address, date of entry, and more. They encourage illegal immigrants to fill it out too, saying it won't be used to determine your visa status or prosecute you. |

Unless I know someone is coming over I never answer the door. Otherwise it's always (a) a JW/Mormon type (b) a wrong number. (c) A salesman. |

As a United States census worker, I can tell you that if the Korean system is anything like America's (which it is), they WILL find you, they WILL count you and they won't take no for an answer. Just do the online option and get it done, otherwise it will be a big hassle for everyone involved. |

The lady who came to my place clearly knew me and my neighbor were foreigners and gave us forms entirely in Korean. I think you can go online to print out the English language version. But really, who is going to bother to do that? |

I was caught walking into my apartment by the woman with forms. She gave me an envelope for my apartment with a code inside. She also gave me a multi-lingual brochure. |

Actually, they do have info on it in about thirty different languages, and surprisingly, the English was perfect.
When the girl came to my door the other day, she saw me and isntantly pulled out a little booklet with the info in all the languages. |
