I will be working on my documents and preparing early for the August 2011 TaLk program.

Does anyone have tips on being accepted?
I read an article that mentioned nearly 80% of the TaLk scholars are Korean American/Canadian/etc. Why is this number so high?

One would think that 100% of them would be "Korean American/Canadian/etc." After all, what would be left? Laughing

I knew what you meant. I just was joking with you because when you add in "etc." that includes everyone, even us chickens. Shocked

I've been on the campus where they train the TaLKers on two different occasions, and I can assure you there were plenty of non-Koreans mixed into the group. I'd estimate at least 30%.

I made a post awhile back about the ones in that program. Where I live there were tons of them everywhere. Although a fair amount looked Asian, the majority were not. And they had white, black, female, male, young, old, fat, skinny, etc. In other words, a huge range of "types". It looked to me as if they were making sure that the program was representing "Everyone".
