Does anyone know if the Homeplus in Mullae station have a dry cleaning service? If so, what floor is it on? Also, does it have a service for taking in the waist of a pair of pants?

I've wandered all around that Homeplus and haven't seen any dry cleaning, but I may have missed it. Same on the alterations. |

Just curious- is there any particular reason you want/need to know if Homeplus has one? Because drycleaning is one category that Korea is definitely not in shortage of-small towns included. At any rate, I don't know the answer to your first question.
However, I do know that most Homeplus stores will alter for free anything you buy there, and items bought elsewhere for around 5000 won. |

You know what they say about curiousity. Luckily you're not a cat. 
I asked because i work near Homeplus. I also think they are less likely to over charge me. I have checked if there are any closer to my apartment though.

I get the convevience part, but not sure what you base the over charge opinion on. My experience with the small drycleaners has been all good-quick and inexpensive.

Not sure but I'm guessing "alterations"수선집. At my store it is on 3rd or 4th floor, in the front and to one side of the store, before you pass the attendant at the entrance in. |

| I used to go to a mom'n'pop dry cleaners, but the opening hours got a bit too erratic so I go to HomePlus now. Try looking on the top carpark floor. |

Do you need to use full, good sentences to get cleaning and alteration done? I want my red jacket cleaned and to have the buttons sewn back on. I've been too shy to get around to doing it. 
Could I just go and show them the button and expect them to know what I mean? Should I bring a friend? Or should I rehearse some good phrases, and come in with cue cards?
If somebody could role-play this for me, that would be cool.

| Well, I went to Homeplus today and had a look. I found somewhere to alter my pants and I found a dry cleaners. The dry cleaner said it would take a week to clean my suit. It would cost 4500won. A week is a long time so i will go elsewhere. |

Well, I have always managed, and not many expats know less Korean than me(not proud of that btw). I took a sports coat in once to get dry cleaned and have all the buttons replaced-2 on the front and 3 on each sleeve, which I provided. No problems. I think they can pretty much anticipate most cleaning needs. I just gestured to my watch to find out when it would be ready the next day, which they wrote down for me.
Seoulman69, although 4500 is fair, they must be sending it out if it takes a week. Even then, that is a long time. |
