The Denmark yougurt in the blue package is sugar free and no stabilizers or anything added. I use it to make my own yogurt and it is much cheaper than buying cultures.

Yogurt makers can be bought in Home Plus. They cost 40,000 - 60,000. You can probably buy a cheaper one on the internet. I'd recommend small glass containers.

Or just look for a brand that isn't so sweet. I've lucked out, and found a 400 g Yoheim fruit yogurt that's sweetened, but not so much.

As another said, Denmark is decent.

Also, you can just start with any yogurt, just need a small amount. As you go down the generations, there won't be any noticeable traces of added sugar left.

Exactly. It's a dilution thing. My guess is that by the second batch you would hardly notice any sweetness. The bugs that make yogurt are the same whether it's sweet or not, the sweetness is added after the yogurt is made.

yes! the yogurt at salaam bakery is tops. i think they make it themselves? i'd love to make my own, though. all those dinky little denmark containers get depressing. too much packaging if i'm eating in my house.
