http://team-xecuter.com/

Currently waiting on the LT+ cfw to come out for the slim models--I bought one a few weeks back.

Is anyone with 360 modding experience in Seoul willing to help me mod mine when LT+ drops? I'd be willing to pay 35k won for the service (I'd bring it to you).

I'm hoping it won't be too long before it's publicly released (I'm assuming the team's gonna have to deal with the new dash/update), but I want to be able to get this done ASAP and I don't want to go to Yongsan as it's a US console and I'm not sure if they'll mess it up or not.

Thanks.

I'd like to know too, but I think it will cost more than 35k to get it done professionally. Esp. if they have to take it apart and do scrapes, cuts and solders...but who knows.

If there is no solder, I'll do it myself. Very Happy

Don't get your hopes too high BB, it might be a few weeks yet. Some are saying as long as Christmas. But I hope they are wrong.

Don't get your hopes up on LT+ being released any time soon.

It took about TWO months for iXtreme LT(Lite Touch) firmware to be released after the November 2009 banwave.

Why? Games are very reasonably priced now and if its modded then you can't play online. I don't know why anyone would bother anymore.

At 55k a pop 'very reasonable' is a matter of opinion. Wink

And one can play online if one is careful. However, with the new dash update this is something that is up in the air.

Indeed. 55k isn't reasonable to me.

While I'd like to say I admire and appreciate the hard work dev teams put into games, I guess that isn't true because I continue to download games (all of which I eventually buy when they drop in price Wink ). The thing is, I don't want to fork over 55k won for a game like, say, Medal of Honor, which have terribly short campaigns/single-player modes.

As for Live, I also own a PS3, whose pay-for-free format I greatly prefer. I don't care much for Live's added benefits because I'm not one to play much online multiplayer in the first place (prefer local)--it seems like whenever I play online games, I'm playing with annoying 12 year olds... and there's no way I'd pay Microsoft for that.

I DO own a PS3 and I own about 35 original games for the system. I'm sure if it were more convenient to pirate games for, I'd do so (and re-purchase the games later Wink ), but I would continue to buy exclusive titles and ones I really care about. Uncharted, MGS, FF, GoW, SF, Tekken, select indie titles, Ratchet & Clank, etc.

For all the other titles, though, yearly iterations of WWE Smackdown, games with short campaigns (MoH, CoD, Splinter Cell, etc.), and guilty pleasures like Monopoly Streets, LT+ it will be!

I've had some modded systems (original xbox, wii, ds), but now I'm just paying for games with the ps3. With the modded consoles, I had so many games (not all of them all that great) that I ended up not really appreciating them or giving them much of a chance.

I don't play that much (maybe 10 hours a week), so the occasional game purchase is not a big deal. I'm not sure how some of you guys are playing through 5 games a month, but yeah, in the case I guess piracy would be a must.

And, yeah, with the online (if you're into that), a game's lasting power goes through the roof.

Think about it. You would spend that much in one night going out with friends drinking or on a date.

The average game is a minimum of 10 hours of gameplay, most are much more.

And then there is the resale value. If you intend to sell the game when you are finished you can generally recoup a sizeable portion of the money you spent.

I think 55,000 is pretty damn reasonable.

Yep. So it's money I could spend on a night out drinking or on a date. If I could pirate those I'd do it, too. Pretty much comes down to me not having to spend money.

I don't actually play games much, either. Sometimes for weeks. Still, it just comes down to what I can get for free. If I want it, it's there. And I have to wonder if you and Taiwan also buy every movie you watch and every song you listen to. I'm guessing no, I could be wrong. But all media is equal, folks.

I do understand what you mean about not appreciating the games. I find myself more inclined to play the games I Pay for

The difference is the online play, which you've said you dont have much interest in, and access to DLC and downloadable games.

true, i download music and movies, but the content is not restricted in anyway when I do that....and I don't have to worry about VLC player getting bricked or banned if I update it. In that sense, all media is not equal. I still prefer having a book rather than a downloaded ebook, too.

Yeah, sorry, I misinterpreted your original posts.

What I meant by media being equal is that if you're going to pirate one medium, it's not any more or less ethical than pirating another.

I didn't mean it in terms of how easy each type is to acquire.

I guess it was my fault for bringing ethics into the discussion. I guess you were just talking about how it's more convenient to just buy vs. pirate.

I was reacting a bit more to TaiwanTroll.
