Anyone know of any that are not too expensive?
Philippines and Thailand are cheap, but airfare is expensive. Anyone know any other options? |

Dokdo is the place to go if you want cheap.
There are no cheap options for getting out of Korea other than to swim to Japan.
Watch for the seat sales on Air Asia, Cebu Pacific, EVA, and then grab them when you have a chance.
Look at seats going to Taiwan on EVA, the Phils on Cebu Pacific or Air Asia for other destinations in SE Asia.

I scored a flight to KL for under 500 with Air China. Going to head up the west coast and into Thailand. Should be fun. |

I agree, Cebu Pacific is hardly expensive, even at its regular price. On sale, they're dirt cheap. I got 147,000 roundtrip to Manila. |

Wow! That's great. The roundtrip fare to Manila in January now goes for 776,000 to a whopping 1,651,000 Korean won on Cebu Pacific. You made out like a bandit, because it's not cheap now. Air Asia is the one budget airline still offering bargain fares, but I haven't been successful at paying for my flight to Bali routing through Kuala Lumpur for 706,000 despite having the money in 3 different accounts. Sumting wong with Air Asia's system, because my 2 American cards work in foreign countries except Myanmar where ATM's don't exist and it's a cash only economy. I guess you need to be someplace with a bright red Air Asia walk up office such as at the head of Khao San Road. Dokdo might be most cheap and easy to pay for, but a freezing cold set of desolate Liancourt rocks just doesn't seem all that interesting. |
