Your laptop, MP3 charger, camera charger, etc, should all read 100-240V on the transformer, so there is no problem with plugging them straight into a regular plug adapter.

The voltage here is 220 or 230, which close enough for most other appliances to work. The only real difference is the frequency (60, rather than 50Hz). This will change the speed things run. I have run my electric toothbrush, epilator (electronic tweezers), and hair straightener here for nearly 3 years with no problem. The speed the epilator runs at changed a little I think, but I just run it on the low setting to be safe.

All you need is one of the adaptors you can buy at any airport, travel supply shop, supermarket, etc. Korea has two round pins, same as Europe. I found that the ones I bought in Oz didn't fit tightly into the socket, so I bought one of the Korean universal adapters from Emart when I got here, and am still using it 2.5 years later. The adapter and appropriate connector also always comes on holiday with me.

So relax, we have it much easier than Americans who run on 110V (lucky for them they have double our luggage allowance so they can bring a transformer!)
