Actually it is my co-worker who will leave at the end of April. The boss wants to save money I think. She just hired another new guy a few weeks ago. Business isn't booming enough I suppose and our schedules are not too heavy.
She said she'll give him the release letter so he can get another job. I heard someone mention before about the "less than 9 months" deal, however, where it may be hard to get another job.
Do you know about this? I'm a bit concerned for the guy. |

I wouldn't worry too much Jajdude, they shouldn't have to hard a time finding work. If the director is willing to give a LOR, see if they will also give a letter of reference, this may be of some help in the future. Best of luck to your co-worker.  |

Had a boss who didn't want to renew, for much the same reason. Then he wanted me back 3 months later. Guess the replacements weren't what he thought they'd be. I see they are hiring again, too.
Actually, I think of him as a pretty nice guy on the personal side. Depends on how you get along though. |
