I downloaded a program called "Disk Cleaner". It cleans out just about every accumulated file on your computer, especialy Internet Explorer files such as URLs, history, images etc. I use this everytime I am finished for the day. Am I being paranoid or is this standard? |

My buddy works for a CDI branch where a teacher got fired because they found out he was looking at porn on his school-supplied laptop in the classroom. Maybe FDNY was that teacher. |

What you geniuses don't seem to realize is that if you do an image search and some questionable images appear on the screen, the computer saves ALL those images in a cache, even if you don't click on them. Someone looking in this folder can see images that you never asked for and didn't click on. Also people can see your private email address left over in Hotmail, or many times Facebook will not completely log you out.
PS: What is ^^^ ? Some kind of retard secret code I'm not privy to? |

That seems paranoid to me...unless you are looking at things that you shouldn't be...and you know that a good computer forensic person can still recover things that have been wiped off of the average computer, don't you?
I keep it professional, but my school admin has covered itself with some sort of net nanny program that won't even allow access to Craigslist. This doesn't bother me. I can look for sports equipment on my own time. |

I probably should dl this software. I often come across lots of NSFW stuff on Google Images alone. |

Excellent point. For this, you can have Firefox clear your cache (and history and cookies) every time you close the program.

Firefox is for hippies. I've never used it and never will.

What I was thinking. I mean, surely there is no secret code that this retard doesn't know about.
j/k
Seriously, those images that remain on your drive are just thumbnails and it is clear that you were not 'viewing' them.
Paranoid and quite defensive. You have to admit that your behavior looks suspicious. Heck, I don't even know why you would bother posting about this....do what you like.

These ---> ^^^^^ are arrows up -- pointing to something highlighted or mentioned above. Actually, they are carats, but they are used like arrows, kinda like the hyphens with the greater than sign made another arrow like this --->. <----- actually like that -- actually, I guess I am pointing at a period. Sorry.
There are a whole variety of special characters placed together to make virtual pictures. The kids today call them "emoticons." You can search for more information on this neeto program they have around -- I think they call it "the googler" or something like that. Kids and their namings, huh? If you have the interwebs connected to your computer, and you got some https, you can probably find it. I think Internet Explorer comes with it bundled or something. |

Yes. IE has extra-wide tube connectors. The OP should have no trouble. |

CCleaner. Freeware program that clears everything from your browser and system caches if you max out the settings. Only takes a few seconds. I use it at school and at home. It also frees up/keeps space clear on your harddrive that is otherwise clogged with archived webpages. It also has a registry cleaner and start-up manager. |

The only way to really remove files from your HD is to run high powered magnets through it or like, throw it off of a cliff into a volcano. So all you are really doing is wasting your time. If the CIA is after you and you are looking crazy crap while at work, they will find out and its GG even if you do delete stuff. |
