I've been being spammed for months now, by a guy who got my email address from a group email sent to a whole bunch of people who work/used to work for the same company here.

I've sent him several polite emails over the last few months, asking to be removed from the mailing list. I've even asked for his phone number so I can explain to him in person why I dont want to be spammed. Anyway, he wouldn't give me a phone number, but even though he assured me a couple of times that I had been removed, I keep getting emails from him, and today I cracked it and sent him an abusive one back.

What's the best way to get revenge on this guy? Sign him up for free online newsletters? Are there any kind of services I can sign him up for that guarantee him hundreds of emails a day?

Cheers. Very Happy

Post a resume with his email on worknplay and similar websites.
Scammers get email addresses there and put them on a mailing list for inheritance, sweepstakes, cheap electronics, fake job offers and other scams.

There is a program out there that can format a reply that imitates a bounced message. I don't think it would work with all mail servers tho. I don't remember what the software was. It was about 5 or 6 years back.

There's email lists out there, just add him to it. There used be the one's where you complete one offer to receive a free PS3 or something. But as you go through it you can check the boxes of other offers you'd like to receive. CHECK EM ALL! Twisted Evil

It's as easy as filtering the guy. Just go to your settings and filter. Put his email in there and bam!

...but if you want revenge...

Actually the Mail program on any Mac does this. Under the Message menu, Bounce. It makes the mail server think that the mail failed to deliver.

I wonder if receiving spam is better than getting no mails at all... in one whole week!

Filter your email. Don't have everything go to one folder. People you know at the top, addresses you don't know in the "check later" folder at the bottom.

It's just water under the bridge if you never get to it. Let it pass by.

You can also use several email addresses. I used to do this around 2000 when anti-spam measures weren't in place. You just tell people a new email address and leave one for a while. Then when spammers stop at the old one, you go back.

Feel free to add [email protected] to any spam list. I have never had problems and would be happy to occupy a spammer's time by ignoring their crap.
