I came across a "International Herald Tribune" newspaper in a Korean airport and am wondering if they sell this paper anywhere in Korea. Does anyone know of any locations that sell this? I can't seem to find it in your general convenience store that only sells Korea Times and Korea Heralds.
Bookstores, maybe? |

the Family Mart next to Taco Bell in Itaewon sells the Herald Tribune. i've seen it in Gangnam in random places too, but that Family Mart is a sure shot. 5 star hotels probably have it too. |

unfortunately, i haven't really seen it sold in a wide variety of places.
i used to subscribe to it, but don't have the time to read the paper anymore.
it's not too expensive, about 25,000 a month for both the iht and joongang daily (imo, the best english-language korean paper). definitely worth it. check out the joonang ilbo site for info. |

It is the best paper around and so I subscribe. I only get to read the whole thing a few days a week, but it is really nice to have the paper around, especially the week-end edition.
They have changed the format of the paper, the Korea JoongAng Daily is now on the outside with the Herald Tribune inside, so if you are looking around don't just look for the Herald Tribune banner.
Check out their web page for subscription info. |

Try the 5 star hotels, or Seoul station. |

The English department at my public school subscribes to The Korea Times. I read it daily, it's not too bad. |

I think the magazine/newspaper stall at Express Bus Terminal in the departure bit does. I know it sells the FT as well. |

Sounds good. Thanks. I look forward to reading more international news...news a little less biased towards showing how awesome Korea is. |

I get the Korea Times delivered. You could actually go to the website, but I just find it more relaxing to read the newspaper. The Korea Herald seems to be only business news. |

print is dead. You're getting news that is - at the very least - 12 hours old. More if you're getting a paper like the Herald Tribune which is a European rag that merely copies American Time and other rags.

It's interesting you bring this up. I actually prefer reading a print newspaper because I find that I read articles I normally wouldn't when using a smartphone or computer. The act of pointing and clicking limits me to reading only the articles that immediately catch my interest, whereas reading a print newspaper forces me to come across different types of articles. I'm not sure if anyone else has this experience, but I find reading a print newspaper a very different experience than reading news online. |
