So i got my first paycheck for September & October and I got paid like 6 MIL WON. Isn't that a bit much? I couldnt get paid until now because i didnt have my ARC card but ya thats a bit much i think?

Do you think maybe it includes the month of November? that would make more sense but not really because why would it include the month of november?

i mean, im not complaining.. im just confused
what do ESL teachers usually make monthly here?

Sounds like that include airfare + (in some cases) settlement loan, which for me was 300,000W. When you subract that, you get a reasonable monthly pay for standard hagwon positions.

Well what kind of school are you? Public or Hagwon. If public it might be as above a settlement allowance and airfare reimbursement. Be careful with you pay and slip. I would not be surprised later when they say a mistake was made and they want the money back. Or the next month they pay you a lot less.

I think the more pertinent question would be how much do you make monthly.

Usually around 2 million Won per month (some make less and others more). Sounds like you are getting 3 million Won per month ... nice.

2+2+1 for airfare plus .3 for settlement. Something is not adding up. Plus they should be taking out .3 for a deposit X2. And your taxes, pension and health insurance.

Clerical error in your favor? Be prepared to fork up some of that money soon. If not, congrats on the windfall!

I got someone else's pay last month in addition to my own. Make sure all the transactions are from your school.

I'm sure you'll be able to solve this on your own. Not much we can do...

Maybe ask them and get a pay statement. Yah.
