So I'm switching schools and I gave my school my month's notice & received the letter of release. Now i'm contacting recruitors & whatnot. I have an interview for this Saturday (I live very far away- about 5 hours or so, so I can't make daily trips to Seoul). Anyway, the interview is for a private school in Gamsil.
Okay i'm from NYC so I need need need cittttttty. I love cafes, shops, music shows..etc. So what are some good locations? Besides Hongdae/Gangnam? it's hard to find jobs in those places bc timing is bad. Is Gamsil busy? The internet isnt giving me much about Gamsil. Also, i currently work in a public school and terrified of hagwons just because of what ive heard. are they really that bad?

Suggestions?? I dont want to go all the way to Seoul only to be dissappointed about location.

I've never heard of "Gamsil" in Seoul. Maybe you mean "Jamsil"?

잠실역 Jamsil Station (Seoul Subway Lines 2 and 8 )

If so, Jamsil is an urban area of South East Seoul. Have a look at the satellite image below. You'll see it is clearly part of Seoul "cittttyyyy," and therefore should be to your liking.

That's probably WHY not much came up on google. All i kept seeing was Lotte World.
