I don't even know how this makes me feel or if I like it, but I'm glad that I read this story. |

don't give your dog grapes or raisins!! they are poison to dogs!! also, macadamia nuts are bad for dogs, too. I think everyone knows not to give them chocolate, but there are lots of other things that can cause them harm.

1. You're gf was quite possibly much more aware and approving of what was going on than you think.
2. It's. a. dog. |

Have you ever had a dog before?!
Losing a dog is a really sad thing.
Some dogs deserve more respect and are generally more pleasant to be around than most people.
And I can't imagine how horrible the OP must feel knowing that he was actually poisoning his dog. |

My dog died over the summer. It was unexpected so when I found her at my house, I rushed out and brought her to the nearest vet. They told me that if I didn't pay 150,000won to get her cremated she would be discarded as medical waste. This was less than 15 minutes after I discovered she had died. I paid to have her cremated, they asked for my email address, a week later I got pictures in my email of the whole process. It was disturbing. But I guess they do it to prove that they actually cremated the dog.
I am very sorry to hear about your girlfriends dog, I know exactly how she is feeling and how devastating it can be. My condolences. I hope she feels better soon. |

you have no soul, man.
my dog was sick, its hind legs were paralyzed and it was peeing all over itself it's last few days. really sad stuff. so we had to put it to sleep. i go to the vet with my lil sis, saying our last goodbyes and we both start bawling like little children. i was 25 at the time btw, and i was crying so hard that the high school girl working at the vet started crying too.
anyway, losing a pet is like losing a sibling, especially if you've had it for years. |

Having attended human funerals in Korea, and comparing human and dog funerals based on the OP story, there is minimal difference between the two. Mostly the same. |

The second time I came home from Korea was when my familys house burned down. My folks were away at the time but my pets were not.
Sad trombone. |

That's pretty much exactly what they do when a human dies, except at the human funerals you also get to eat yukgaejang. |

I hope people arent as insensitive as you when one of your family members die, because dogs are like family. That was cold man. |

Beats putting it in a plastic bag and leaving it for the trash pickup. |

No doubt. Pets are like your family members, and innocent like children. I frickin' BAWLED when my pets died.
And as far as the funeral is concerned, that is pretty much how they hold a funeral for people in most Buddhist-influenced countries. It's gruff, but it sure does beat leaving it in a plastic bag for pick-up, and is more honest than simply walking out of a vet's office.
edit: My condolences to your girlfriend for Kamja. |
